The Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower has always facinated me, most times that I drive past it I take pictures, its really a beautiful structure.The tower stands at 324 m (1,063 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-story building. It was the tallest structure in the world from its completion until 1930, when it was eclipsed by the Chrysler Building in New York City. Not including broadcast antennas, it is the second-tallest structure in France, behind the Millau Viaduct, completed in 2004. And while the Eiffel Tower is a steel structure, and weighs approximately 10,000 tonnes, it actually has a relatively low density, weighing less than a cylinder of air occupying the same dimensions as the tower.

Today France has been covered in snow, 2 inches! the country comes to a standstill, school is out, christmas will be here soon, more turkey

This weeks issue of L'Express Styles magazine has a very good article "Beaux Livres et beaux flacons" by the Redacteur en chef délégué Guillaume Crouzet, my book "A la table de l'ambassadeur" (Elegant Entertaining in english) is featured as the most beautiful book! on the opening spread!

A good days work and the engine cleaned up, the HH barrels are on! later today we will start it.

Just minor details to be fixed now on the Yamaha TZ250j

Thanksgiving 2009

Every year we join a group of friends in Paris to celebrate thanksgiving, Jim and Emmanuelle Dittmer. Jim cooks a huge turkey with all the trimmings for 32 people, quite a feat. Every year since 2002 we have done this and I have been the official group photographer.
